Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

The Progress Journals supports the broad dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research. Authors are permitted to deposit and share their published work in institutional, subject-based, or other non-commercial repositories of their choice.

1. Author Rights

Authors may deposit the published version (Version of Record) of their article in:

  • Institutional repositories of universities or research organizations;
  • Subject-specific or disciplinary repositories;
  • National or international scholarly repositories;
  • Author-maintained academic profiles or non-commercial research platforms, where permitted.

2. Embargo Period

No embargo period applies. Authors may deposit the published version of their article immediately after publication.

3. Licensing

Articles published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) may be deposited and shared in accordance with the terms of that license.

Authors and repository managers must retain the original copyright and licensing information when depositing the article.

4. Conditions of Deposit

When depositing an article, authors should:

  • Retain the complete bibliographic information;
  • Clearly acknowledge The Progress Journals as the original publisher;
  • Include the article's DOI, where available;
  • Provide a link to the official article webpage on The Progress Journals website;
  • Retain the applicable Creative Commons license information.

5. Citation Requirement

The deposited version should include a citation to the original publication in The Progress Journals and, where available, a persistent link or DOI to the official published article.

6. Repository Responsibility

Repositories may make deposited articles accessible in accordance with their own policies and applicable copyright and licensing requirements. The Progress Journals does not require authors to obtain separate permission for repository deposit when the article is published under the applicable CC BY 4.0 license.

7. Policy Availability

This Self-Archiving and Repository Policy is publicly available on the official website of The Progress Journals and applies to articles published under the journal's stated licensing terms.
